Lunch Out
Our school location and schedule allow us the opportunity to offer a special privilege to UHS students. All 10th-12th grade students may apply to leave campus for lunch every day (9th graders in 2nd semester). Qualifying students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and a signed permission form on file to receive Lunch Out ID and adhere to all requirements outlined below. Qualifying students may purchase a Lunch Out ID for $20 for each semester, or you may pay $35 for the whole year, understanding that if you are ineligible at the end of the semester, refunds will not be available. This ID is required to be worn to exit/enter campus at lunch. Bring completed permission form to University High School between 8am – 4pm for processing. Lunch out will begin on the first day of school on Monday, August 10, 2026.
You may also complete this process on July 29th from 8:00am – 11:30am and 1:00pm-3:30pmpm.
Starting August 10th Lunch Out Permission Forms can be submitted to the Activities Office located at 2B-110, before first period, during lunch and at the end of the school day until 3:45pm.
Students are expected to comply with all the procedures below. Failure to do so may result in suspension of lunch out privileges. Refunds are not available if privilege is suspended.
1. Exit/Enter through doors by Building 3 (Auditorium) with Student ID.
2. Must physically have Lunch Out ID present to leave campus (No Receipts)
3. Must check out with Campus Advisor or Administrator before exit.

5. Be on time for 5th period.
6. Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher (Checked Quarterly)

8. Follow Student Code of Conduct
It is critical that all students return for their afternoon classes. The continuation or extension of this privilege is at the sole discretion of the school principal based on the cooperation and responsible manner of participation by our outstanding students. 4 tardies in (1) 9-week period will result in suspension of the privilege. 4 unexcused absences in (1) 9-week period will result in suspension of the privilege. 2 discipline referrals in (1) 9-week period will result in suspension of the privilege. The student will be eligible to have the privilege reinstated at the next semester if all requirements are met.
