December 2022 UPDATE

Believing in Your Dreams Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is offered to graduating seniors who have played basketball, volleyball, and/or been an active member of our band for 2 years.  Applications available in the guidance office.  Deadline is March 29 ,2023. 

United State JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is available to any graduating senior who is planning to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary college, university, or trade school.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline is January 13, 2023.

City of Deltona Scholarship

The City of Deltona offers graduating seniors scholarships up to $3,000 annually for a maximum of 2 years. You must be a current resident of Deltona and have maintained at least 6 months of residency within the city and have applied and been accepted to a college or university in Florida.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline is February 10, 2023.

 

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship

These scholarships range from $10,000 to $25,000 and will be awarded to deserving students who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.   To learn more and apply for this scholarship go to scholars.horatioalger.org.   Deadline is March 15, 2023.  

The Peabody Auditorium Foundation Scholarship

Any senior who plans to pursue a degree in performing arts can apply for this scholarship.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline is March 31,2023.

Orange City Blue Springs Manatee Festival Scholarship

Any senior who plans to pursue a degree after high school can apply for this scholarship.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline is March 25,2023.

Sorosis Club of Orange City Scholarship

Any senior who plans to pursue a degree after high school can apply for this scholarship.  Applications are available in the guidance office.  Deadline is March 25,2023.

Each year, Florida Credit Union awards scholarships to qualified recipients based on scholastic record, future potential, leadership, initiative, character, dependability, integrity and financial need. 

Servin-Ellis Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was originally established in memory of the first treasurer/manager of FCU, Oscar Servin. In 1997, the fund was renamed to also honor Dr. Jonnie Ellis, a board member who served from 1987 to 1997 and served as Chair from 1993 to 1996. The scholarship fund is open to any high school senior who is enrolled or plans to enroll in the current year in undergraduate study. It is awarded annually in May and is divided among more than one recipient. Students interested in applying must first qualify by having a parent or guardian who is an FCU member or by being a FCU member themselves.


Dr. John C. Rawls Scholarship Fund
Established in honor of Dr. John C. Rawls, a member of the Board of Directors since 1957, this scholarship is available to anyone furthering their education. During his time of service, spanning 55 years, Dr. Rawls served as Board President, Vice President, Secretary, Chair and Treasurer, as well as interim CEO of the credit union during a period in the 1990s.

 The award is open to students planning to further their education who are enrolled or plan to enroll during the current year in undergraduate or graduate study. Recently graduated high school students are not eligible for this scholarship. Interested applicants must first qualify by being an FCU member or having parent or guardian who is an FCU member. 
Important details: 

• Applicants must have a parent/guardian who is a FCU member or be a FCU member themselves.

• Applications must be typed. Handwritten applications will not be accepted. 

• Applications must be received by the FCU Scholarship Committee no later than February 3, 2023.
