CHRIS ENDSLEY is a 23 year veteran teacher in Volusia County, Florida. For seventeen years Chris was on faculty at Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, where he served as Chair of the Fine Arts Department, Choral Director and coordinator of the prestigious American Musical Theatre program. His first year there, Chris was the administration’s Sallie Mae nominee for Outstanding Beginning Teacher. In 2004 Chris was awarded the Seabreeze’s coveted Teacher of the Year award, and was a nominee for the District’s TOY award. In the fall of 2014 Chris joined the faculty of University High School, Orange City as their Choral Director. In just three years the program has grown to include Beginning and Advanced Women’s Choirs, a Men’s Choir, and a Concert Chorale. Additionally, Chris has added an AP Music Theory class.
Chris Endsley is a 30-year professional musical theatre Music Director and has served as Music Director for Granbury Opera House (Texas), Seaside Music Theatre (Daytona Beach, FL), Athens Theatre (DeLand, FL), Orlando Repertory Theatre, Garden Theatre (Winter Garden, FL), UCF Conservatory Theatre, Rollins College, and Daytona State College. Chris has been a Broadway World nominee for Outstanding Musical Direction (Professional) for his work at the Garden Theatre, Athens Theatre and Theatre UCF.
As an organist, Chris toured the country as a concert organist, conducted workshops in church music development, and has over 40 years experience in church music. He is currently Organist/Choir Director North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, FL.Chris holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music/Organ from Baylor University, a Master of Music in Organ Performance from Florida State University and two additional years of graduate study in performance from Texas Christian University. Chris is a member of Florida Vocal Association, American Guild of Organists, American Choral Directors Association, and American Federation of Musicians, Local 389.
