UHS' location and schedule allows us the opportunity to offer a special privilege to UHS Students. This year, due to COVID 19 and the guidelines in place to maintain social distancing ALL students may apply to leave campus for lunch everyday during their designated lunch time and may apply to park on campus with your his/her valid drivers license. The parent permission applications for both are now located at the bottom of this post. Please complete the applications and make the necessary payments online at www.uhstitans.com by clicking on the green MAKE A PAYMENT button and follow the steps.  As long as, students have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA he/she will be able to purchase the lunch out and/or parking pass. If their GPA falls below a 2.0 the system should not allow him/her to make that purchase. 

Students will be able to pick up their lunch Out ID's, parking decals and if applicable, be assigned a locker on Thursday, Aug. 27th from 9am-3pm in the attendance office. Students must wear a mask, social distance accordingly outside of the attendance office and bring all necessary paperwork to submit. In order to pick up the Lunch Out ID students must have paid for lunch out online &  must have the completed and parent signed Lunch Out form. In order to pick up the parking decal students must have paid for it online, must bring proof of insurance, vehicle registration, his/her driver's license and the completed and parent signed Parking Pass application. Students that purchased a general locker on line  may get his/her locker assigned on Thursday, Aug. 27th as well. Students may select the building and floor of his/her locker. Social distancing guidelines will be followed when issuing lockers.  By making payment and submitting all the necessary paperwork on Thursday, Aug. 27th all qualifying students lunch out privileges will begin on the first day of school. 

For students that are unable to make the purchase online and bring in the necessary paperwork on Thursday, Aug. 27th their lunch privilege will not begin until the necessary paperwork has been received & processed and their proper Lunch Out identification has been issued. Starting Aug. 31st Lunch Out Permission Forms & Parking Pass Applications can be submitted to the Activities Office located in 2B-110, before first period, during lunch and at the end of the school day until 4:15pm.  Remember all forms MUST be signed by a parent/guardians and it is the students responsibility to submit ALL pertinent paperwork accordingly.

Seniors interested in painting a senior parking spot may complete the SPECIALTY PARKING application, which is also on our website. Complete the Specialty Parking application & the Parking Pass Application  paperwork, and make your payments online. Bring the completed paperwork on Thursday, Aug. 27th to be assigned a senior parking spot and receive the appropriate parking decal.

Seniors be sure to schedule your appointment with Dean Stewart Photography to take your yearbook picture before Oct. 31, this will guarantee your picture in the yearbook.  Dean Stewart Photography will have one day on campus for seniors to take their yearbook picture…as soon as that date is set it will be shared with you.  Once that date is set you will need to contact DSP and schedule a time for that day. Senior parents & guardians if you are interested in dedicating a senior tribute ad in this year’s yearbook for your graduating senior please check out the Senior Tribute information on our school website. The deadline to turn in your ad is 10/31/20.

Tomorrow's Leaders is a leadership training program designed for high school juniors. Through a series of structured activities and events, Tomorrow's Leaders participants meet & interact with community leaders who share their thoughts, concerns and hopes about current issues, community resources and various factors impacting the future of Volusia County. This six month program prepares students for constructive leadership, responsible citizenship and active participation in the affairs of Volusia County and beyond. Juniors if you are interested complete the application located on our UHS website and return it the front office by noon on Wed. Sept. 16. 

UHS will be offering the PSAT for Juniors interested in qualifying for The National Merit Scholarship. Juniors if you are interested in taking the PSAT you will need to pay for the test by Friday, Sept. 4th. The cost of the test is $17. You may pay for the test online by visiting our school website... www.uhstitans.com and click on the green "MAKE A PAYMENT" button and follow the steps.

DSC First-time students- students must bring me a physical copy of their DSC schedule that shows student name, DSC id# & course info. I will check the DSC database to determine materials needed.   If we have the item on hand it will be checked out to the student.  If I do not have the item on-hand then I will write a voucher for the student to take to the college bookstore.  There is no bookstore on the Deltona campus @ Deland and Daytona campuses ONLY.  Upon completion of summer semester, student will return items to textbook room to get Fall materials issued (see turn-in schedule below).
